In my book, God’s Little Miracle Book III, I share a story of a woman whose very abusive husband made several attempts to take her life.

One day as she swam in their pond near their rural home, he waded in after her with the intent to drown her. She cried out to the Lord like she had done many times before.

When he grabbed her, he couldn’t get a firm grip, no matter how many times he tried.

In her words, “It was as if I was a greased pig.”

This wasn’t because the water was slick. God sent an angel to protect her by making her skin oily so her husband couldn’t carry out his plan to drown her.
