Little Yussel hasn't uttered a word in months. Since God didn't listen to his prayer to save his mother from death, the boy refuses t speak to anyone. He and his father, Arel, the rabbi of a small congregation in Eastern Europe in 1846, live alone. Their existence is a quiet and lonely one. That is, until Hanukkah morning when a special visitor comes to call.
